Building children’s executive skills: a brain-based approach (1-day event)

Children aren’t born with ‘executive function’ skills such as impulse control, problem-solving, empathy and emotional control; skills which are crucial for successful learning and positive behaviours.  In this program, early childhood educators learn how to use practical strategies drawn from Dr Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model to support the development of executive skills and calmer classrooms.

Beth Macgregor

Beth Macgregor is a psychologist who provides training and development support to child health, welfare and education services. She began her career as a child protection caseworker, and since 1993 has worked in various roles to support the most vulnerable children in our community. She has had the privilege of training thousands of educators across Australia, assisting them to understand and respond to the emotional needs and challenging behaviours of children.
