Description

Date: Wednesday 11th September - 4.00pm - 5.30pm

Toddlers are rapidly developing language and movement skills and becoming assertive in expressing their ideas, wishes and needs. During this session we will:

  • Unpack the characteristics of toddlers.
  • Explore the relationships and connections that are key to understanding toddler behaviours.

Discuss how to respond to toddlers in thoughtful and respectful ways that will encourage their developing self-regulation.

Toni Christie

Toni is the Director of the Childspace Early Childhood Institute in Wellington, NZ. She is passionate about early childhood education, leadership, environments, infants, teamwork, communication and advocacy for children, families and early childhood educators. Toni holds a Master of Education with merit from Victoria University (NZ) and she enjoys her many roles in life as a wife, mother, writer, speaker, musician and artist.
