Join us as we explore the opportunities the EYLF brings for Education for Sustainability (EfS) and strengthen your EfS pedagogical practice.

This event is suitable for all early childhood practitioners.

Completing Exploring Education for Sustainability Within the EYLF will contribute 3 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing Standard Descriptor(s) 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Deb Watson

Deb is the Manager, Education for Sustainability at KU and has worked in early childhood education for many years. She holds an environment lens to her work and believes “We must dream of a great place to live, that is fair and equitable and that values the Earth for future generations, and we must act to bring the dream from our hearts into reality.”

Fiona Harris

Fiona is an experienced early childhood teacher and has taught in several preschool settings over the past 30 years. Her interest is in sustainability and place-based nature pedagogy, helping children connect in the community. She is also interested in children’s art making and literature and views pedagogy as an ethical discipline.
