Inclusion Community of Practice - Networking event for Preschool Leaders

Recommend course:

Description

We extend this invitation to Preschool Directors and Educational or Inclusion Leaders in preschools to come together to network, share and learn from one another through a dynamic discussion on inclusive practices, resources and initiatives in preschools.

Join your KU Preschool Inclusion Consultants for a light afternoon tea at our host preschool for this term -  Peter Rabbit Community Preschool, as we connect and celebrate inclusion, share some highlights and discuss inclusive practice dilemmas.

This term, we would love to connect by:

  • Exploring new thinking around ‘dynamic supervision and ‘mattering’ — reflecting on how feeling valued and noticed supports child and educator wellbeing, and our capacity to add value.
  • Celebrating inclusion through ‘glimmers and glows’ — small moments and big successes that show inclusion in action.
  • Identifying priorities for growth in inclusive practice — what we’d like to explore further together to build knowledge, confidence, and capacity.
  • Sharing resources and questions — exchanging ideas, tools, and reflections to support ongoing learning.

This workshop aligns with the National Quality Standard:

Quality Area 1, 1.3.1. Assessment and Planning Cycle.

Quality Area 3, 3.2.1: Inclusive environment.

Quality Area 6: Collaborative partnerships with families and communities.

Quality Area 7: Governance and leadership
