Music and movement are avenues to connect with children through shared enjoyment, while supporting executive functioning skills, regulation, language and social skills. When we actively consider inclusion, musical experiences can reach everyone, and importantly, we don’t need to be musically talented to bring these experiences to life.
This is a different type of event where educators are encouraged to actively contribute and learn from one another, bringing away ideas to implement in practice.
This interactive networking event will be an opportunity for:
- Sharing and learning from one another.
- Contributing your favourite music and movement experience, track or action song and discuss how this has been effective in supporting inclusion.
- Building your repertoire of action songs, movement and music experiences which intentionally aim to engage all children, assisting with regulation.
- Reflection on strategies to invite children in, meet challenges, and success stories.
