Practical Inclusion workshop for Educators

Recommend course:

Description

This practical inclusion workshop is a day dedicated to enriching your work with children with disabilities and additional needs and connecting with other educators. Join us in Granville for an interactive session where we will explore what works in everyday inclusive practice.

This workshop promotes a whole team approach to inclusion where every educator actively engages with every child. Come along ready to share helpful ways you support children of all abilities to participate at preschool.

We will discuss & reflect on a range of topics, including:

  • What does inclusion mean?
  • Understanding children’s behaviour
  • Working in partnership with families
  • Implementing individual learning plans across your team
  • Scaffolding play & supporting children to connect with peers

The workshop will be facilitated by Carol Nagel and Jennifer Day from KU’s Sector Capacity Building program team.

Tea, coffee, morning tea and lunch will be provided
