Description

STEM thinking with light - 'There's a rainbow in the bathroom' - following a child's line of inquiry

'There's a rainbow in the bathroom'

This statement was an open invitation to walk with Josh as a companion in inquiry; to question, ponder, explore, and theorise together. How then could I miss it? How could I let this opportunity slip away?

This hands-on workshop will implore educators to pause, to consider those missed opportunities, to become cognisant of and alert to, the intricate threads of children's thinking and questions and explore the possibilities for thinking offered by light.

This workshop will include 'Lights Camera Action', where participants will start to de-mystify film making and create green screen movies and stop motion animation videos. The focus in this session is on creating not consuming media and exploring how video can be used as a tool for inquiry-based learning
