Connecting with Country - Walk, Listen, Feel

We invite you to join us on Boorooberongal Country and experience a guided walk with Traditional Custodians for a unique opportunity that has never been experienced by others outside the clan before.

Local knowledge holder Cindy, will take us on a guided walk at Yarramundi, on Boorooberongal Land, a significant meeting and corroboree space where women and men conducted their business and ceremony, as well as searched for bush foods, medicines and more.

Feel the heartbeat of the land and listen to stories of the significance of this place and how culture was share with children and young people and come away with a better understanding of how Aboriginal people are spiritually connected through song lines and land.

Cultural protocols and respect for traditional sites restrict photos and audio recordings being taken during this workshop. All photos will be taken and shared with participants by the workshop leaders and KU Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Programs team. We ask all participants to be respectful of this request.

Location: Please meet at the Yarramundi Reserve Carpark - Springwood Rd, Yarramundi

What to bring: As this location does not have facilities for us to provide catering, please bring enough food and drinks for the day. You will need sensible walking shoes and clothing, a hat, sunscreen and a wet weather jacket is advisable for any unpredicted changes in weather.
